1. Ok, you've got a new window
open now, so go ahead and draw your picture.
2. Once you have your picture, you
need to click on the Show All in the Layer menu in the bottom tight (click
on pic)

3. You will then have this (click on pic)

4. You then need need to RIGHT click
on the Mask - Raster (when you hover over it will show a white preview)
and click delete. (click on pic)

5. And then click OK
6. Next you RIGHT click on the
Raster 1 and go to New Mask Layer and choose From Image (Click on pic)

7. A box then appears and you need to make sure
that Source Opacity is the one that is selected, leave the check box
empty. Click OK (click on pic)

8. Hover over the Mask and you should see this

9. Then you need to click on
the >> Button which says More Buttons when you hover over it (See pic)

10. Choose the Save to Alpha Channel (see pic)

11. Make sure the Add to Document is the same name
as the picture you are making into a spray and then press save (click on pic)

12. Then go to File, save as (see pic)

13. Choose a name for it, change the Save as type to
.tga (click on pic)

14. Then click options, make sure the Bit Depth is
24 bits and the Compression is Uncompressed, then press OK (click on pic)

15. Then click on save and YES when the warning about
Limitations pops up (see pic)

Congratulations you have just made a spray from
scratch!!
Ok, you have a picture that you want to make your spray. Open it up in
Paint Shop Pro.1. Click on the Show All button on the
bottom right hand side and press ok (see pic)

2. Right click on Mask - Raster and
press Delete (see pic) and then Yes.

3. Then you need to select the
Magic Wand tool (see pic)

4. Select the parts of the picture that you DON'T
want and press delete, you will end up with a picture like this (see pic)

5. Then right click on Raster 1 and
choose New Mask Layer and From Image (click on pic)

6. Make sure the Create mask from is
Source opacity and that the Invert mask data box is EMPTY. Click OK (see
pic)

7. Hover over the Mask and you will see this (click
on pic)

8. Click on the >> more buttons option on bottom
right (see pic)

9. Then Save to Alpha Channel (see pic)

10. Make sure the Add to channel is the
same name as the file you are working on, then click save (see pic)

11. Then go to File, save as (see pic)

12. Choose a name for it, change the Save as type to
.tga (click on pic)

13. Then click options, make sure the
Bit Depth is 24 bits and the Compression is Uncompressed, then press OK
(click on pic)

14. Then click on save and YES
when the warning about Limitations pops up (see pic)

who have just edited a picture and turned it into a spray!!
1. First of all you need to create between 1 and 5
pictures using one of the above ways - make sure they are a maximum of 128
by 128 pixels.. Save them as Spray 001.tga, Spray 002.tga etc2. Then you need to download a spray maker program
- get one from
--->HERE<---.
3. Extract it to your desktop - no need to install.
4. Open up the Spray Maker folder, go into the hl2
folder. There will be 3 folders here - bin, materials and materialsrc. (see pic)

5. Go into the folder called materialsrc, there
will be a folder called animated. (see pic)

6. Put your .tga pictures in this folder. There is
a text document called Spray in here aswell. (see pic)
*NOTE : the tga's must be named spray001.tga
spray002.tga ETC
7. Open it up and make sure the Startframe is 1 and that the endframe is the same number as the number of
pictures you have. Change it if necessary and save it. (see pic)

8. Once you have done that go back into the main
Spray Maker folder and click on convert. (see pic)

9. This will open up a DOS window. Hit any
key to continue. (see pic)

10. Your animated spray has just been created! To
find it go into hl2, materials, animated and copy the .vmt and .vtf files.
(see pic)

11. To get your spray showing ingame you need to put
them into the spray folder in your steam folder.
12. Put them in here - program files > steam >
SteamApps > yourname > counter-strike source > cstrike > materials > VGUI
> logos. (see pic)
